Welcome to Elementor 3
If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind Studio 27 Thirteen, we’d love to introduce ourselves.
We’re Russ and Lindsey Cooper — the owners and founders of Studio 27 Thirteen, a professional recording studio located in Franklin, Tennessee, serving artists from Nashville and across Middle Tennessee.
Studio 27 Thirteen is more than a business to us. It’s the result of years of experience in music, leadership, and creative work — and a shared belief that artists deserve an environment rooted in integrity, excellence, and care.
Who We Are
We’re a husband-and-wife team who believe creativity flourishes best when artists feel supported, understood, and respected.
Our backgrounds are different, but together they form the foundation of how Studio 27 Thirteen operates — creatively, technically, and professionally.
Russ Cooper: Musician, Producer, and Audio Engineer
Russ brings decades of real-world music experience into every session.
As a touring musician, worship leader, and professionally trained audio engineer, Russ understands music from both sides of the glass — as a performer and as a producer.
His experience includes:
- Years of touring and live performance
- Professional studio recording and engineering
- Music production and creative direction
- Artist coaching during recording sessions
Russ’s approach is focused on one thing: serving the song while helping artists deliver their most honest performance.
Lindsey Cooper: Vision, Operations, and Artist Experience
Lindsey oversees the vision, structure, and day-to-day operations of Studio 27 Thirteen.
With a background in business ownership, leadership, and creative project management, Lindsey ensures the studio operates with professionalism, clarity, and care — so artists can focus fully on their music.
Her role includes:
- Studio operations and systems
- Artist communication and experience
- Business structure and integrity
- Supporting creatives through clear, respectful processes
Lindsey is deeply passionate about advocating for artists and creating an environment where creativity feels safe and supported.
Why We Created Studio 27 Thirteen
We created Studio 27 Thirteen after seeing too many artists feel rushed, confused, or undervalued in studio environments.
We wanted to build something different.
A studio where:
- The process is transparent
- Artists are treated like collaborators
- Creativity is honored
- Excellence and kindness exist together
Studio 27 Thirteen was built to be intentional — not transactional.
